Argentina is tormented with economic crisis, social conflicts, political problems and as if anything was missing from the clutter that is 2020, now half of the country is in flames due to the fires in the wetlands of Parana Delta. Since the beginning of the year, several thousands of fires had destroyed huge part of the wetland and it raised rapidly in the month of August. This land is the home of different species of flora and fauna and now they are loosing their natural habitats. The Parana river, second largest in the continent next to Amazon flows through Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil and hence this will soon be an international problem. Even though it’s late, still there are many areas of the Delta that can be conserved if necessary measures are implemented.
